Title: Mrs G's New Ride - Details
Post by: The Gonz on April 11, 2018, 09:05:03
Mrs G has an opportunity to secure a new i30 SR Premium for $35345 on road with 3 months rego in Adelaide, including mudflaps, dashmat, mats and cargo net. Is this a good price? Also, what tinting have you acquired?

They seem to be about 36k to 37k over there with 0km's so G's price ain't bad :goodjob2:

Octane is the tint I used from Tint a Car  :link: Car Tinting - Tint a Car (https://www.tintacar.com.au/car/car-tinting) I went one shade darker than legal though :)

I think mine is Octane too (I've certainly had Octane before)

I paid 31K for a non Premium, so that sounds pretty good.  :D

3 months rego? how generous. If you buy new up here you would expect 12.

Have a look on carsales, it is usually a good guide. I thought the cargo net was free on the more expensive models??

I think that is by choice so they can convert to Vic Rego after the initial 3 months.

Yes I thought Premium got the cargo net standard too...

Hi Gonz,
Use those details and call your preferred dealer back home to see if they will match it.
Tell them 12 months rego  and fixed price service though Plenty of room to move in car prices.
3 weeks ago we bought our 2018 Santa Fe 2.2 6 sp, with floor and dash mats, towbar and load assist ( heavy duty )springs for 60k drive away. We did the deal over the phone- didn't hassle,  just said this is want we want -how much ??
Good luck.

I'm already working on a list for our next car.

New Camry Hybrid

2019 (new shape) Corolla Hybrid...

Plug-in Hybrid Ioniq..

etc..

I really like the Sante Fe Highlander but a bit pricey and not sure about buying a diesel these days?

2018 i40 (new model).

They will need to sharpen the price. I like them a lot but the last time I checked they were not competitively priced.  :disapp:

Anyway, I would have to wait another 2 years or Trishie will growl!  :sweating:
