Do you have a phobia of running out of time?

I do like the Seikos, mine's 11 years now, first one was 13. Not a mark on the sapphire glass and driven over once :winker:
 never enough time :)

Got my eye on a Grand Seiko currently in need of minor repair, couple of jewels and coil, if I can snabble it for under 2.5K will be good and likely sell this one :fingers:

Wow, cool thread! Some very nice timepieces on here :goodjob2:

Mine aren't nearly as fancy. Somewhere in a box (I am between houses at the moment) I have some sort of Guess watch and a Swatch that I inherited from my granddad (rest in peace Pappie) but I don't wear the latter as it has sentimental value to me.

My daily is a cheap Xiaomi Mi Band 2 that is waterproof, has survived many a shower and I use it to keep track of my sleep patterns, heart rate, use it as Bluetooth Unlock on my cellphone and to notify me of incoming calls as my phone is anyways always on silent mode. The battery is still good after two years and I get around 35 days off a single charge

I did have have a Rolex Oyster Perpetual datejust steel and gold trim watch which was given to me by my Middle East Employers to celebrate 10 years service. For 20 years service you get an all gold one - but I wasn't prepared to wait that long.

I still have a heavy identical fake one, which is an excellent copy with a steady sweep of the second hand, only the slightly loose bracelet links give the game away. However, I never wear it. Friends and family have ribbed me about showing off and some wags make smarmy comments like I need a fake gold neck chain, fake bracelet and fake chunky rings to complete the ensemble.

I sold my genuine Rolex 8 years ago together with my late wife's gold Rolex which I bought in Saudi Arabia from an expat. It was her 10 year's service award from her Saudi employer and was brand new. It was devalued by being engraved with her name and employer on the back. She already had a diamond encrusted Rolex and regarded this 'cheap' one as tatty.

My regular watches are a stainless steel gold trimmed Citizen Eco Drive  and a similar one which is 'gold plated'. Plus a large diameter, battery operated, super thin Accurist 9ct gold one.

All have bracelets - I dont like watch straps.

I like Seiko too which is what I have tended to buy in the past, since I was a kid, in fact.
Now I wear a nice shiny one (not Seiko) that records video for me.   :D
Just thinking Doggie the recording time device you have would be good for any seafarer who wanted to "watch" something on the video "watch" while on "watch" Having said that I will watch for any comment thereon.

I have had many watches over the years, my current weapon of choice is the Tissot Titanium PR100, absolutely bullet proof

worse watch i ever bought was automatic winding Ingersoll In6802ch whcih looked great in the shop. I wore it once and just cant read the bloody time at night. those luminous hour dots mean nothing when you cant see the hands  Heavy MOFO too

I like Tissot's, they're the cheaper end of the Swiss watch market but their ETA movements are very reliable and better value than TAG junk.

The Ingersoll looks like a nice dress watch, not meant for practical use :) just a classy watch to wear when your taking the wife out to a nice dinner or the casino  good automatics should have some weight to it especially if it's Sapphire front and back, some Longines like one I pictured earlier in the thread use NASA grade Hesalite to reduce weight and you barely know you're wearing them.

Another good brand using the reliable ETA calibre/movement :goodjob2: is that one a fake though :undecided: my log decriptions say it should have brushed stainless case whereas that one is chrome plated, also numerals should be silver on that model with smooth centre dials without spun rings.

Here's a genuine

Yep. It's a genuine.

The photos from Hamilton almost look like theyre digitally created.

The 7750 is certainly the thickest movement I have but at least you never forget you're wearing a watch...

No problem, my log doesn't show all variations so was just curious :goodjob2: I've nothing against fakes either, I did have a couple of Patek replicas though I broke one and gave the other to my Father :)

Love the Hermes. And for only $2000, one can be yours! Actually, $2000 is very reasonable for a quality watch, but I don't see how you can justify a watch band for that sort of money! Which is what you're paying for.

Yes $700 for a leather strap is a bit high :whistler: plus they have custom faces included in the software :)

Yeah I suppose, $490 isn't much compared to the $1500 sneakers and $1000 sandals  :faint:
