On a couple of occasions Firty has refused to let me open the hatch, illuminate the interior or even lock the car using the key, much less respond to the fob. Fortunately, it cannot refuse a key-in-the-ignition start and the problem seems to go away after the next drive. Battery drain isn't it because she cranks like a champ all the time.

Anyone seen this before?

BCM comes to mind.

Interior light comes on with remote unlock, not key unlock. But should once the door is open

My CW seems ok with the key lock/unlock

The tractor seems the same, unlock is a bit knotchy as it turns left it feels it's pushing something but for lock it is soft like a switch..

And I trust you've probed the remote battery , 3+ V would be healthy

When this happens even an open door or pressing the overhead buttons won't light anything up, so I'm thinking BCM as well.
 :thanx:

BCM controls a lot of stuff. Reseat fuses , just in case it's an oxidised connection? Someone recently had something BCM related O'seas I think, forget the symptoms.
