I've followed the advice in the manual but simply can't remove the unit from the rear bumper. The retaining tabs are far too firm to get a fingernail or thin flat edge screwdriver in to lever it out.

Has anyone been able to do this on their i30 GD?

I used an L shaped 4mm Allen key to get in behind the tabs, they’re tuff little buggers.

Thanks, that worked! I was concerned about using more force and breaking the plastic. Used an Allen key to get one of the two tabs out and the unit then dropped out of the bumper easily.

The instructions from the manual are attached in case anyone else has this issue in future. :goodjob:

Good job wbm00 :goodjob: I don’t know why they recessed the tabs back as far as they did but you worked out the Allen key trick :goodjob2:
