My glovebox-light don't work anymore.
I have checked the bulb, it works.
I have had a LED (0,1W) in it, it also still works when be tested outside the glovebox.
The fuse is good, the other interior lights are still working.
I have tested the connector with a multimeter and it shows only some milliVolts.

I remember, that the glovebox light was working, everytime the glovebox is open.

Somebody an idea?

Does it show 0volts when off? Or still millivolts? How many millivolts? Not knowing th esetup, can you remove the socket and get to the terminal side and retest the voltage just in case it's a dirty socket?

Can the switch be removed, test the resistance with the conatcts closed. Does it have continuity or a high resistance?

Also these days with so much smart electronics in cars, could it be a body control module issue? I am guessing this would control the lights.

Different model I know but I'm sure my FD glovebox light only worked under certain conditions.
Maybe the park lights had to be on?
It certainly didn't just come on automatically when you opened the glovebox.

Thank You for the answers.
Of course this is a new car and I will consult the dealer.
May be, it´s concerning with a LED-replacement or the installation of the soundupgrade since two weeks.

I have measured 20 to 170 milliVolts, and it shows absolutely no reactions when pressing the switch.

It works again. Was just an issue with bad contact inside the plug. (Plug and wire are poor quality.)
