Hi all,
I'm currently in Devon this week for a break, when I use the sat nav it's taking me down the single lane roads and they are literally one car width, you can't see anything around the bends. I've reverted to using Google maps as they use main A and B roads as much as possible, I've had both running at the same time and the Google map is much better to the point I ignore or turn off the Hyundai nav.
My question is where can you set what road types you want to use primarily? or am I just wishing?.
I've looked through but can't see settings related to using main roads as much as possible.
Many thanks if anyone knows.
Mark

Hi Mark,
What model and year of i30 do you have?
Pretty sure my wifes 2019 Kona and my previous 2017 GPD series SR allowed you to choose to avoid lesser roads. I could be mistaken. If yours is a series 2 (GD) things could be different. We didn't have a built in GPS in our GD wagon. It's handy to have a bit more detail in your signature just for questions like this.

Hi Dazzler, it's a 2017 diesel. 2016 model.

Hi Dazzler, it's a 2017 diesel. 2016 model.
Cheers! I'm guessing a GD then as don't think any series 3 PD vehicles were built in 2016?

Sounds right it's the 2012 to 2016 CRDI version UK, I think that's a gen 2

Ha, found it, buried in settings, main roads was set to avoid (as default)? .
Screeny of my current software and firmware, updated 2 months ago at dealership. Funny how it's referring to a website?.
