Hi all,

I am looking at buying an i30 SR MY14 (auto) with just over 100 000 kms on the clock. The kms have been primarily highway, however given the car is a petrol I was wondering if anyone could share some insight regarding the 2.0 petrol engine's longevity, as well as any potential issues I should be looking out for.

Any help is much appreciated!

 :welcome:

The 2.0 Petrol in that model SR is a relatively modern GDi (gasoline direct injection) design. I'm not aware of any significant issues with it. Provided it has the service book stamped and completed for every service on time, with mostly highway miles it would just be run in. That mileage in a 4 year old car should give you good bargaining power! You might get a real bargain! I'm thinking around the 15K mark...  :winker:
