Title: Drivers door won't open on i30 comfort
Post by: Frustrated 1 on June 09, 2019, 17:21:00
Hi, I earlier fixed my internal door latch cable due to it having snapped. The door was then opening and closing fine. The door has now jammed and will not unlock either from the inside of outside. Is there some sort or reset required?

You dont describe the car model/year etc
Is it only one door?
If you have used remote to lock, all doors cannot be opened physically from inside or out.

Hi, it is 2011. And only the one door. Tried central locking. It can be opened by repeatedly pressing the lock switch and operating the door handle when inside.

Ok its model is FD  :goodjob2:

The cables must be ok if it eventually opens.

which lock switch  :undecided: ???

If you mean the knob beside the interior handle, something is worn on that unit. Go to wrecker and get new one.

If you mean the button on the remote, something is gummed up or worn in door lock unit. You could try WD40 also take outside handle off and spray in that way. If still faulty go to wrecker and get new one.
