Has anybody else noticed any of these new bugs with Android Auto in their i30?
1. Google Maps screen mostly non-responsive to touch:
* can touch the map to pan and zoom
* but nothing else on the map screen responds to touch, such as:
* microphone icon to issue a voice command
* any displayed destinations such as home/work
* the rest of the GUI

2. Google Assistant cannot be heard unless Spotify/GooglePlayMusic used first to play something.

What changed before things started playing up...phone update or head unit? have you tried deleting the phone from the head unit and re-syncing?

I haven't noticed any of those, but definitely not as easy to use as it was.

When I press the voice command and request an action half the time it won't respond. I now find I have to say OK google once to wake it up and then again to make my request. Even doing that is now hit and miss. I've tried other cables, but it appears more software related than cable related.  :fum: I used to love it (not so much now) :Pout:

In the end it turned out to be dependent on the phone's screen resolution, even though the phone's screen remains mostly off when you're using the i30 head unit.
Setting the resolution to 2960x1440 made the problem occur on the i30 head-unit.
Setting the resolution to 2220x1080 made the problem involving the i30 head unit go away.

Gee thanks! How did you work that out? (Mr Google?) I don't think it will help my issues.

It is interesting that nobody else has mentioned my type of issues with Android Auto although I haven't bothered doing a google search for a fix or similar issues yet.

Dazzler, I think it might depend on the phone.
Problem #2 persists though, but it has a workaround: play a couple of seconds of spotify.

You could very well be right. I have had feedback that the Samsung S8 doesn't play well with Hyundai Autolink (and it doesn't for me)  :Pout:
