I sure have.
its basically a GSXR1100 engine with  balancer shaft and shaft drive, stuffed into a steel double cradle frame. More upright than the 1400. Only made 91,92,93.
Quite happy at 30km/h in top.

Thanks, yes quick , long, heavy and slow steering.
Additive acceleration , must use restraint from now on at all times.
(Last time I cracked it open, I shut off at 4 times the speed limit -50kmh area - only took a few seconds to get there  )

I used to work at a motorcycle garage during Uni holidays testing all sorts for Uk MOT yearly tests. My boss was always nervous test riding the bigger bikes which I loved doing. The Hayabussa was a bit of a handful, more of a straight liner than going round corners overly fast. I also liked the FJ1200 too. I still have a 1986 Honda VFR750G back in UK

my last big twin Harley , a 2001 twin cam Dyna, I done motor & gear box on that too and used to drag race as well as ride it to every track I raced at ( some Queensland some Victoria ) well got to know a lot of Haybusha racers, five of them took there Haybusha's for a ride around Australia took them two weeks. they are all good riders and also did the weekly laps at the Old Eastern Creek , now known as Sydney motor sport Park ( drag strip is next door. so they did high speed in straight line & high speed in corners every week. they were telling me about passing road trains at over 280 kph & the trailers on trucks going from side to side, they had to weave past the trucks at that speed. RISKY!!!

A couple of pics re: my sister bikes.
1 is registered,  the other is not.
They won't be restored just kept as is - one the better, one the worst.
They have sequential VIN's and engine numbers are 4 apart. Both went to same dealer originally.




Worse one has original panniers as well.

My current ride is a Suzuki Vstrom 650, before that I  had a brief moment of insanity  and had a Harley low ridder  and before that a heavily modified GSX1400 that I sold to a mate and still get a ride of every now and then and is my favorite bike.
