Hi all found a black numbered bolt 11 on floor of drivers side footwell. Have tried to see where it fits in but not luck yet. I can see the seats all have number 8 on them. any ideas where this nr 11 fits.

Stop driving the car and check the steering universal shaft NOW!!

Has the coupler bush been replaced on this recently?

Maybe it's time for a change. Honestly that bolt does not just fall out. How long have you had the car? Rattle? More info, when , how etc. The coupler bushes in these fail and can cause a knock likely most noticeable as you park the car. They can get a bit of a rattle over bumps, could be in the rack or that shaft in th ejoints but if that bolt was out you'd have a rattle on the splines as the coupling was loose, it's also telescopic, you're  very lucky the thing did not separate or we'd have another Ayrton Senna failure.

There's an old saying - "that there's no such thing as a silly question".
You have just proved it correct.

I'd  be bolting in to give them a piece of my mind... then steer away from them in future.  :whistler:
