Occasionally, while going up a hill in say 3rd gear, the engine stops pulling at around 2200rpm, as if it has hit a rev limiter there, if I take my foot off the accelerator and then push the accelerator down again it will then continue to rev and pull as normal.

I am not getting any engine warning lights showing up.

Any ideas what it might be please?

Dirty fuel/fuel filter maybe or an issue with the turbo charger? (variable vanes a bit sticky/clogged?)

Maybe an issue with the ECU/BCM?

Just thinking aloud...
