I'm usually early 😁

I've got an Eco drive world time model that is probably just as old, It's looking a bit worn these days so I use that one for daily grind stuff, still works well👍

With every new watch I get I want a new one) and only my new home and its repair works stops me from spending money. This time I am obsessed with Seiko Astron GPS, but its price is incredible for now)

Looking in the wrong place Dazz, you'd have to be crazy to buy watches in Australia when can get from the Singapore and Hong Kong stores for a fraction of the price they try to rip us off here :link: Items in creationwatches au store on eBay !

I've used Creation Watches for several of my purchases and always top quality and cheapest you'll find :goodjob2:

It's ok Craig I think $300 is a lot for a watch... so I won't be buying one of those in a hurry!

Have a look on Creation Watches, a $300 watch here would likely be half or less there :)

That silver Seiko solar watch I wore in Tassie is $699 here in the shops, cost me only $224 through Creation's :happydance:

mmm, the price there is quite attractive in case it is a genuine watch

You can get replicas on ebay for $5.99 But I'm guessing that an original would be dearer...

Just wonder why people prefer watch with leather strap? Which one do you prefer?

Leather is generally more comfortable though not suitable in conditions where it might get wet, sweating on hot summer days don't help with leather bands either as they tend to crack/split over time.
I like to keep my leather band watches for dress occasions (nice dinners out with the girlfriend) and stainless bands for day to day stuff.

For water sports or working in the garage I'll wear one of my nylon or rubber band watches.

I have a Casio Wave Ceptor. It connects every night to the atomic clock and is absolutely bang on the correct time. It cost less than £50. Why pay anything up to several thousand pounds for something no where near as accurate?.

I'm sure I read somewhere here that some big name in fashion watches once said "If you want something that tells the time, get a Timex".

  • 2021 KIA Niro 3 1.6 Petrol Hybrid
I have two Citizen Eco Drive watches, one stainless the other gold plated and a stainless steel/gold trimmed Rolex Oyster Perpetual DateJust presented to me as a 10 year long service gift by my Middle East employer. Some recipients used to bring them back to the UK and sell them to London dealers - but mine has been lying in a draw and only very rarely used.

Now that this thread has reminded me of its existence, I might just do that.

I did think about buying one from here, but I understand that they are in the main no where near as accurate as my Casio.

Not to hard to adjust a watch, even my cheaper Seiko automatic is accurate to within 100th of a second per year, wonder how many years I get before I have to adjust it for 1 second :whistler:

13, plus a few antique pocket watches :)
Do you have a phobia of running out of time?

I do like the Seikos, mine's 11 years now, first one was 13. Not a mark on the sapphire glass and driven over once :winker:
