Been out to get used to the car today and it was doing really well until I had to reverse up hill a little bit, this was only a slight hill. As I started to go backwards the car started making a loud screeching noise from the front. This again happened as I parked the car outside of my house as I reversed up a dropped curb. I've already got a fuel injector problem but this seems new or is it related to that issue?

How does the clutch feel in general? Shouldn't do this on only slight inclines. Sounds more like a possible separate clutch issue to me...

Reversing on a straight or going forward is no bother nor changing gear

As tw2005 says, recording would help.
Very unlikely to be related to your fuel pump problem.
Poorly adjusted belts will screech.
I would check the 2 belts on driver's side of engine. Pull on them ( with motor turned off ) and see if any adjuster or component moves. I suspect either alternator or air con compressor is loose and it slops forward or back when you are on a slope.

Just a little update, I've checked the belts and their both pretty solid. It doesn't do it all the time which is a bit weird. Just a quick question... how light should the accelerator be?

enough to hold the weight of your foot. Not too light. Try other cars .
