This 1956 Aston Martin DBR1 could become the most expensive British car EVER - it's tipped to fetch more than £15 MILLION at auction

DBR1/1 is the first of just five models made - Stirling Moss won the 1959 Nürburgring 1,000 KM race in it

The Aston Martin is expected to sell for in excess of $20 million or £15.5 million

If it achieves more than £17m it will overtake a 1955 Jaguar D-Type to become the most valuable British car

It will be sold at the RM Sotheby's Monterey sale at the Pebble Beach Concours d-Elegance on August 18 to 19

Auctioneers described it as 'the most important Aston Martin ever produced' and 'immaculately presented'

Three other competition Aston Martins will be sold at the auction, worth a combined £9 million

Absolutely beautiful piece of machinery, I've added all my savings including the coin jar and it looks like I'll be a little short  :'(

If I could get into that car, and that is a big IF, then I would require a JCB to get me out  :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint:

Been looking at my bank account too :Pout: but, the pound is going to crash soon (Brexit) so it could still be ours.  :happydance:

I just had another look (now I'm awake) and I have decided to withdraw my bid...

It might have only been driven on Sundays, but when it was it was thrashed!

Also, it's not that sporty. Sporty cars have red seatbelts...  :whistler: :snigger:
