Dear all, I own a Hyundai i30 1.4 petrol 2008 (88,000km) and it is making a strange noise from the front when I go over a bump even if it is small.

I am suspecting that the drop links/sway bar needs to be replaced!

I attached a video of the issue.

Anyone experienced this issue or has an idea what it could be?

Thanks Matthew

Had the same issue. Fixed it with new drop links. Quick and easy DIY project.

I had pics in the "DIY service" topic on the diesel forum, but photobucket started acting up...

Thanks for your reply.

@sundiz what brand did you use ? Original parts or third-party?

I just got the first ones I saw at local parts store. Can't remember the brand, but they were not OEM. I think I paid something like 30€ for a pair.

There is one new. A colleague gave a tip to jack both sides up at the same time. There is no tension when both sides are up in the air, which makes it much easier.

Also some penetration fluid will help with thethe dirty and rusty nuts.
