Deep south coast, New South Wales
hi all, people who live near me have a Santa Fe highlander suv auto 2.2 diesel they also have a large fishing boat as we live near the water.
well I was only talking to a friend who is an auto trans specialist, the other day.about how thin the gears are in all the new auto's so they use less fuel. that was up in Sydney. I get home and my friends Santa Fe auto has failed needs rebuilding auto guy told them same as I did. another friend has an old chevy pick up 454 cubic inch 7,700cc v8 with turbo 400 auto trans to do his towing he pulls 10 ton no problems it's on lpg
also the Santa Fe only has 120,000k on clock starter motor went then alternator went, if you tow get a manual and hope, but if a small trailer and only short trips ok. they did lot of short trips but also longer and this area has mountains.
