Not quite sure what happened with vehicle sales for December in Australia but Hyundai and i30 sales numbers took a big dive. Promo timing I guess. be interesting to see what January figures show.

From memory the Astra was around 19k drive away, by the looks of the charts the market was subdued and Holden was cutting prices in an attempt to get back in the game.

I have already seen a few i30 gos getting around.....

When I read the link after I posted it, they hinted that Hyundai might be holding something back for 2018.  (They'd want to be.)

Just checked carsales, plenty of new stock from 17k. Plenty of stock with 5 and 6 thousand ks around the same money too. I bet when you get there, they are new registered stock.

If you were running a fleet the  3k saving would be a big selling point.

Mine (active) is a sept 17 build and is ex demo that the dealership never registered, I got it for 19800 with 6 months rego and mats and dashmat, had 3km on the odo when I picked it up.

For those who don't normally see these VFacts figures which we try and share every month, the i30 is usually in the top 5 and has even been number 1 best selling car in Australia.

I can't remember the last time it wasn't in the top 10. I'm expecting a big bounce back for January.
