Hi guys'n'girls - I am thinking of putting some fuel injector cleaner like Redex into my tank the next time I fill up to clean my tubes and see if there is any difference to performance. What is your opinions on these ? Any good ? Recommended ? Waste of £ ? Best type ? I have a 2011 i30 petrol version. Thanks !!

I use Nulon injector cleaner periodically.
IMHO it's less expensive but just as effective as using a tank of higher octane fuel now and then.
I've been doing this on all our cars for years. Subaru, Corollas and my i30.

Redex is good for petrol engines, but not an effective injector cleaner. It's primary purpose is as an upper cylinder lubricant, to protect when starting. It is a very light oil. To clean injectors you need a solvent, most of which contain naptha to reopen the holes in the injectors. I'm not sure just how effective they are at cleaning and whether your warranty would be voided should any damage occur. I don't use any of these just good fuel from reputable companies.

What fuel do you tend to buy as this could be an issue if you are experiencing problems.

Personally i do not use cleaners.

I fill up at shell not supermarket, and have no issues.
