After 19 years of driving ford falcons in both manual, Auto and 6 and V8 guise, and with the demise of Fodrd Australia i started looking around at something fun to drive.. Well I wasn't disappointed!
I'm absolutely loving my new SR manual.
Day one brought a smile and laugh to my face whilst driving up the old pacific hwy to show my family.

I love the colour! But thought i'd add some red trim to the front so as to add a bit more "sporty" difference

I hope you like

Cheers
Gav

Cool.
And the Old Pacific Highway is a great drive. Assuming you mean beside the M1.  :goodjob:

Welcome DasGav,

Looks great! Congrats.

I've got a Red SR DCT and I've added a bit of that red trim to the rear!

Ignore the Dazzler Edition badge I was just mucking around...

Looks splendid :victory:

My Ioniq has a blue stripe where you've fitted your red stripe - really sets it off.

I had a look tonight and a measure. I have enough red piping to do that area as well.  :victory:

I got a 2 metre roll from Ebay for about $7

It came with 3M tape on the back but I put a dab of loctite 406 glue on each end to make it a bit more secure. That front location is a bit trickier with my particular trim. I might have to use Loctite 406 or 401 for the whole length.

Tried to find a link in my purchases but that one has dropped off.  :undecided:

None of the pinstriping I had would hold even with thoroughly chemicallly cleaning the plastic.
So I went to Bunnings and bought a 12mm x 12mm PVC moulding L shaped. Trimmed one side down to 4mm then cut it to shape and  and applied the pinstripe. I also used 3m automotive double sided tape to hold it in place.
I always forget to take pictures when making stuff.

never mind Dazz. Found this. is this what you guys were using?

:link: 5M DIY Flexible Car Edge Interior Exterior Décor Moulding Trim Red Strip Line | eBay

Cheers for the link..  :snigger:

I only got 2 metres and it was $7 something, but probably not from o/seas.

That looks redder than mine which wife reckons is too orange.

Hi Crusty,
There's a PD at Pickles with the front ripped off but a little more damage than yours and it set the air bags off - totaled.

This looks great! Are the AUS/NZ cars built in Korea or Slovakia? Do you get rear fog lamps as standard?

Very nice! You'd be surprised how many Aussies have walked away from big Aussie sixes and gone straight to i30s. I'm one of them too.
