Hi guys my Hyundai i30 FD Diesel Automatic, makes a strange sound when I put in D. I hear the rods knocking. But the engine doesn't run rough or anything and it run fine. When I put it in P or N it's fine, I don't hear anything. But D,R,3,2 and 1 you can hear it and you notice a sound change. Has the came across anyone before?

Hi Billy, I'm no mechanic, but i'd suspect a transmission noise/issue in that scenario.

my fd gets a thud thud sort of noise at times tracked it to the plastic engine cover vibrating seems to happen more under 1000rmp with ac on
