Hi guys, I'm about to change the timing belt and I will buy parts myself then drop it to my mechanic.
Wanna check if I buy the right one for the job.

Dayco is a good product , quite standard to use it in the trade.

the job is quite easy DIY if you have a free morning.

Just the belt change may be all you need if at 100 -120k.

Over all, The extras, are small change so get the kit.

I'd like to do it myself but I don't have enough tools to perform it.
The car is at 130k and I'm planning to keep it for another 2-3 years. My mechanic quoted for around $150 labour.

Are you guys into Kilometres or Miles like the unwashed over the border?
If reading Kms you are ok. Miles you are due, but...........
Late FDs came with a revised schedule.  90,000 km check ; also change if car has had hard driving > change all at 130,000km.

60,000 Miles = 96,500 km

I do mine at about 100,000 km. For the price of a belt and a couple of hours work, job done.

Usually just the belt first time. If its the 2nd belt, do tensioner  and water pump .
