Hi folks....
I have a 2010 5 speed manual i30 which is great for local city driving but out on the freeways it's desperate for a 6th gear.
Is it possible that a six speed box from a later model that I could perhaps pick up from a wrecker is compatible?
I guess it's likely that changing the gearbox for no other reason than this would be more trouble / expense than it's worth, but any advice would be gratefully accepted.
(Is this a common problem for this model?)

Correct. its not like 6th is a whole ratio above what you have now - everything closes up a bit.
