Has anyone installed a factory towbar on their PD SR?

If so, any photos to share please? I want to understand if the rear skirt is replaced or if they somehow manage to get the towbar fitted without modifying the standard skirt.

this image suggests a cutout, but that's on an active, not an SR with twin exhaust.

thanks

I don't see listing for towbars to fit the SR's, possibly due to the damage that can be caused to DCT gearboxes from towing :undecided: especially reversing.

I fitted the genuine Hyundai bar to my Elite (c/w DCT). I think the issue with the SR is the dual exhaust that leaves no room to access the underbody in the appropriate locations to bolt the bar on and/or having the tow ball in the right spot.
I would check with the dealers. If there is one made for the SR, they would know about it.

There has to be an option at some stage. If people couldn't tow at least a trailer with an SR they would really need to reveal it in the sales material and manual. The earlier Hybrid Camry's for example made it quite clear they had very restricted or no towing ability.

On the Hyundai Australia website and the specifications for the SR does mention towing limits so it is capable.
