I had to take my car through the car wash yesterday to get mud from dirt road off and noticed water pouring in through the rear quarter glass on the right side!!! As I am on a road trip I am not game to pull too hard to investigate. Has anyone had any issues with either the glass or the seals on these?  Would I need to replace the whole thing glass and all or just a seal? Thank you IA for advice

Welcome.

That is odd. Certainly not something regularly reported on here. Being it is a 10 year old car and well out of warranty I'd be tempted to run a bead of silicone around the seal inside and out if that is accessible. If you do this be careful to only use a small amount and don't get any on the door trim or seats. When it dries just trim any excess off with a razor or stanley knife blade.

I haven't got an FD hatch available to look at to see how the glass is put in, but if I did, I'd be inspecting the other side that doesn't leak and try and identify any differences.

Have you had the car long? Any repairs in that area?
The glass is one molded assembly  that is bolted from inside the car behind all the trim.  There's a tubular gasket covered in sticky sealant that seals it. I  don't think you can get that but I would think a auto glass company could maybe seal it. Strange that it's failed .
