I believe @GreyBanna may have a GD03 and tried the upgrade...?

I've got a GD03 non satnav head unit and the firmware update suits that model.

The instructions for the update file state that it is designed to update the following "Hyundai Audio Models" (Aka the head unit / stereo units or however you refer to them);
- TL-01 (TL-01 unit found in the Tucson)
- DM-01 (DM-01 unit found in the Santa Fe)
- AD-01 (AD-01 unit found in the Elantra)
- GD-03 (GD-03 unit found in the i30)

It worked a charm in my GD-03 unit, make sure to read included instructions as some models will have to be updated twice to bring all software for the various systems within the head unit up to the revision number listed in the instructions)

Copied the file tll3000h.hdf as is on to a freshly formatted USB stick and inserted into the USB socket with Audio system on. Just got the message "no media files found" (or something close to that)

Think I will need to ring the dealer tomorrow. The mY18 is fully advertised as supporting Android Auto, so no idea why it is no istalled good to go.

Yeah, disaster avoided thankfully.

Closer inspection on the details of the Tucson, and it seems the latest Highlander model still does not support Android auto. I was deadset keen on having it, and when I decided to go with the more expensive HL, just assumed that Android Auto would be included due to the fact it was available on the lower models. Lesson learned

Does anyone know if it is actually possible to have it installed at a service dept, or does it just not support it at all?

I'm sure if it was that easy it would already be installed UNfortunately. Very frustrating for you. Must be slightly different stereo for some reason? Guessing you get other features.
