Does the driver's side temp control button not work? It should change both sides the same if 'dual' is not activated.
what happens when you press the 'dual' button above the passenger side temp control?  It should let  you alter the temp individually for each side.
Not sure if your controls are the same as my i30 and I am no techo.

There should be someone else here who is more expert that can help if the above does not.

Well, dude. Year and model would be a good place to start. If under 5 year old then warranty otherwise may be fun to figure out.

I'll assume GD series and if dual zone(something I've never had) then it's going to be electrnic / climate controlled system.

So the master controller will operate indivdual servo flaps on the HVAC unit. Could be the controller or the servo.

I'd think the odds would be on the servo being electro mechanical more so than the logic side.

There is a self diagnostic feature built into the controller which I'll try and post up. Instructions are a little vague but it's meant to display either no fault code or if it does will be two digit code blinking a single digit twice to make the code  :undecided:

Note item 97144, where it's single flap in standard model or dual flap for yours. Obviously item 97144E (drivers side) is not moving.

Could be jammed, servo faulty,
