Is there an option to have the passenger side mirror to dip on reverse? I already see some gutters scratches on the wheels already  :fum: :crazy1:

A few models achieve this by having the mirror selection switch (L R) in anything other than the central position. My Ioniq does it this way too.

No idea if this applies to your PD2 though.

I wondered the same thing when I first got my i30 in 2018. It seems that this is not an available option for Aussie. I manually switch to the LHS mirror and manually move it to protect the very expensive wheels.

The truly keen will consider a custom timer circuit that activates a 12V pulse to lower the mirror as reverse gear is selected, then activates a second pulse when it's deselected. The trigger state is the power going to the reverse lamps and the pulse duration (how long you would press to lower and raise the mirror) can be adjusted via a trimpot. About $4 from eBay.
