Title: Unknown warning light!
Post by: kateaew on May 15, 2019, 06:23:14
I was driving today and a new symbol appeared on my dash. It was a road with a X (cross) in it. Similar to the frost one with the road and the snowflake. Tried googling it but can't find anything. Anybody know what this means?

Thanks!

Hopefully someone can help here.
The only warning light with a cross on it I'm familiar with is the handbrake warning light.
Been  caught once or twice when the lever was up one notch.

My owners manual shows a picture of the road icon with a x in it on the rpm gauge, no details as to what it is though as it’s for a version that differs from mine.

I'd be "cross" if that happened on mine! :snigger: (sorry...)

I see on FB someone thought it might be a lane departure warning issue, but I think only the PD gets that feature and I haven't had any issues (symbols) come up with that.

Hi all, well I was driving to the airport cos I'm going on holiday so will have to check the manual when I get back...just wondered if anyone knew (was strapped for time so couldn't look myself!) Very odd, didnt beep or anything so I'm going to assume it wasnt that serious haha. I also dont have lane assist on mine so have no idea what it could be!

Do you have a clue to where exactly on the dash it was?
Or was it in the cluster display?

You may also find the icon in the Hyundai Service Guide APP .. I discovered this out whilst browsing through the AutoLink app..

Hi all,

Back from holiday. Picked up my car yesterday, the mysterious symbol/light has now disappeared. No idea what it was. Car feels fine too. Weird, but at least it's gone right?

Thanks for letting us know. Hope you had a good time.

If it happens again try and get a photo with your phone before it disappears without crashing...
