Title: New head unit or parrot/bury bluetooth kit.
Post by: osvald on April 26, 2017, 10:19:53
Hi!

New to the forum and since Monday owner of a 2012 i30 FDH 1.6 CRDi
Nice car but I miss bluetooth for audio streaming and hands-free calls.

First I was thinking about installing a parrot or bury hands-free kit and keep the OEM HU. But now I'm not so sure.
I've read some discouraging posts around the internet about the quality and reliability of mostly parrots mki kits.
The alternative would be to install a new aftermarket Pioneer HU with bluetooth compability. (Probably the FH-X730BT) But then I would loose the outdoor thermometer.

I'm going to use the connectivity to stream music from Spotify, podcasts and phone calls.
I would really appreciate some advise and/or thoughts from some of you experienced fellas :)

Welcome osvald,

I can't really help with your question, but nicely worded post with lots of info. So well done.

Gives you a better chance of getting some good, helpful replies.  :Good_luck:
