Just tried that with both L and R buttons, it did not work. Hope it isn't anything electrical...
However, I can't seem to get the "reverse parking aid function" where the rear mirrors dip down when reversing to work.

My non-premiun didn't. I could almost list every additional feature the premium had over the non-prem. I don't recall that being one of them.
I'll see what the dealership say when I bring it in next Tuesday

However I would have presumed that with the SR Premium model, it ought to have all the bells and whistle features considering it is the top model in the range. I'll see what the dealership say when I bring it in next Tuesday for some issues with the rear spoiler being loose. In the mean time, grateful for people's thoughts
Service got moved to next Monday, will report back once I find out.
Quick update, the Dealership advised the 'reverse parking aid function' isn't a feature in the i30 SR. But it is on the Santa Fe...
An innovative Auto electrician (or maybe even our own @The Gonz ) might be able to modify it to do that.

Here's an idea: I'll design it for Firty and then upload video when I'm done.
Throw a variable pot into the time cct for fine tuning.

You can always shell out for this: K5 Optima Store - Automatic Reverse Mirror Tilt Module

I small mechanical or electronic mod like this might compromise warranty but only on the parts modified, which seldom malfunction anyway.

If @The Gonz designs something suitable he'd ship it with a how to guide included I'm sure. He's an Australian Air Force Wing Commander, Engineer and educator (with a 3D printer) We are lucky to have him...
