Title: Wagner Tuning Competition Intercooler 2007-2012 FD CRDI
Post by: OBDream on December 16, 2019, 14:07:11
Hi all, I have been researching aftermarket intercoolers for my FD CRDI for a while now. I have found Maintec in Korea? and I think they may do a full front mount kit for the car but I cant get to the nitty gritty because of the language barrier. Im sure an email would rectify this. Also im not sure if I want to just BAM! front mount the car and become cop bait.

Whilst searching I came across this :)

:link: Comp. Intercooler Kit Hyundai I30 / Kia CeeĀ“d ? Performance Brands (https://performancebrandsgroup.com.au/collections/wagner-all/products/comp-intercooler-kit-hyundai-i30-kia-cee-d)

This looks totally mint and I was hoping someone on this forum might have installed one and if so any information would be great.

Looks to be a straight swap out for the OEM intercooler, same mounts etc but with twice the surface area and internal volume, from what I have read each intercooler Wagner designs has been specifically designed for the car.

This would be the final mod before full dyno remap

What say yee?

Awesome !!,
Given it's in original location, increased size and dead easy to mount -winner.
To complete the sleeper look, give it a light coat of flat black to make it look old and motley

Maybe that could work, but I would imagine it would double the static pressure.
