Headlight
Full story, short version.

Im driving down the highway, i blink left for lanechange, left side bulb blows (the one for normal driving light and high beam).
I buy a new bulb, change it and it works (not my first rodeo).
I then turn on high beam, but only the right side goes to high, while the left side beam stay on low.

Any takes on this?
I an hoping that theres seperate fuse for high/low and left/right, in which case it would be a simple and cheap fix,
but this is just wishful thinking on my part. The fact that right side go high and left side stay low seem to speak against this. atlest at face value.

Extra contekst: a week ago i had a good bump into another car. maybe such bumb could ha...

Brake Pads
Hi everyone,

I'm changing all the brakes on my Automatic 2014 1.6 diesel i30 and I cannot for the life of me remove the front brake disc. I've done this job on manual cars before.

I've removed the two screws on the disc, removed the m8 bolts at the back  below where the caliper bolts go as I saw that on a manuel online, and still stuck hard!

Am I missing something? I've tried putting the gearbox to neutral instead of park but nothing changed either.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Gearbox
Hi everyone.

First off, the TL;DR version (too long, didn't read):
-Replace Valve body and internal harnesses with new ones
-Putting the car in reverse took about 5 seconds
-Didnt want to change up gears as readily as it should along with odd behaviour
-Ended up in limp mode/gear 3 where reverse going in instantly, but with the typical thud
-Throwing error P0732 Powertrain - Gear 2 incorrect ratio

It's a Hyundai i30 diesel automatic, built in Feb 2011. 4 speed.

Just replaced my valve body due to the typical issues. Replaced it with part number 4621023020, a new one from sparekorea.com. Also replaced with two wiring harness as I had to fix them in the past due to bad solder joints. Fi...

Glow Plug
Hey all,

I recently acquired a 2008 CRDi and have had a service on it (done approx 157k kms). Had noticed a few things prior:

First this was a significant whistle upon acceleration, this was determined to be a cracked intake hose to the turbo, was replaced and the whistle is now just faint, what I would assume to be normal for the turbo. Prior to replacement I noticed an intermittent shudder at idle after the car warmed up, this doesn't appear to be the case anymore but have only been driving it for a couple of days.

Second thing, although minor is a longish crank to start, and a rough idle (this isn't too bad and I'll be honest I don't have much experience with diesels so may be mostly normal? Hard to tell....

Gearbox
Hi All,

I have seen several posts on here about the dreaded gear shift problems, clutch bite too low, reverse grinding etc. I had the same problem for a long time and was able to fix it with the damper valve fix (removing damper and putting oil sump in its place). This lasted a few months for me, then I noticed it becoming difficult to change gears again. There have been some solutions posted on here that worked for some, however I had the same issue.

After trying all the checks: slave/master cylinder leaks, hydraulic system leaks, bleeding several times, replaced slave...I still had the problem.

Then I remember a few mates telling me that their clutch was adjustable...why isn't mine? (i30 CRDi FD 09 RHD). ...

Door Locking
Hi guys - I am having increasing problems getting my key in and out the lock on the door. I have a 2011 petrol 1.4 i30. Increasingly, it does not go fully in and has to be pushed before it enters fully and can turn in the lock, Is this serious, what could be causing it, has anyone else had this issue and what may need doing to fix it ? I was thinking that a spray of WD40 may fix it but haven't tried that yet. All assistance gratefully received ! Thanks  :victory:

Bulbs
I assumed the bulb had gone so replaced it (also changed 9 months ago) but it is not still turning on.  The interior map lights (if that's what they are called) are workingt the fine

Any ideas what it could be if no bulb or fuse?  Anything I could look at / open and tinker with?  Thanks

Possessed
Hi

I have 2012 Trophy 2.0 litre petrol auto sedan with around 94,000 kms on the clock. I use standard unleaded octane fuel. Vehicle is fitted with cruise control (cc) and air conditioning (for hot Australian summers). The vehicle has been regularly serviced by myself (including new oil air filters and spark plugs) and has been returned to the hyundai dealer ship several times to receive software updates and satisfy recalls. Recently installed factory timing belt and pullies.

It's starting to annoy me now and I don't want to cause any ongoing issues, so for quiet some time, I've noticed that the vehicle seems to, well "hunt" is probably the best word to describe it.

For example, when driving down a freeway, ...

Towbar
Helloo,

Just wondering if anyone here had fitted a tow yourself? If so can you tell me if it was pretty straight forward or it does require modifications on the chassis?

This is for a i30 - 2011 -CRD-i

Thank you
