Any update on the fitting of the air horns, Gonz?  :undecided:

Or have you been busy jetsetting around the globe?

I've had many sets of air horns on my vehicles from double, triple and even had up to 8 trumpets covering two sets at one stage. Had Mexican hat dance, dixie, alternating triple LOVE EM LOL.

What Gonz has sounds like a standard tri-tone airhorn. Single line from air pump split to each trumpet.

The picture earlier looks like the alternating triples, normal operation is all at once, flick a switch and it will alternate high, middle, low, middle, high, middle, low, middle etc in rapid succession.

Next step for me is a twin trumpet from a truck or train, already have the air tank and compressor mounted for tyre inflation.

Not really sure how to proceed. I still have only the middle horn working and only when connected as the only horn. I've found myself completely devoid of any tools that might help recondition these horns. :blubber:

I gave my air horns to Brenda the Barmaid here at the mess and she took them to her husband to take to his workshop. He used a compressor to clear them out and they're apparently ready to go, so I have a happy Sunday of tinkering tomorrow.

Slighty OT, but there are a number of vids on youtube of people setting up a high powered speaker on roof of car & blasting out a very loud train horn to unsuspecting pedestrians - some who get very p'd off!!

An interesting counter-prank would be for someone to fake a heart attack when this horn is deployed. :faint:
