Well done getting the hearing aids.

I got my first set 10 years ago at the age of 46.

Three things defined my new hearing:
- Drove my old 4WD 300m from the hearing aid shop and stopped.  Wondered who had put all those rattles in it.
- Discovered why my teenage kids never used my stereo.  It sounded terrible.  I had the graphics equaliser set up to compensate for my hearing loss.  It was not good.
- Had a beer with a neighbor the next weekend, and he commented that he could no longer hear my TV.

Yes, that would be me.. my bloody tablets..   

@AlanHo .. don't know how much this tells you, I got the advance plus @ $395 with the $500 extra rechargeable option .

I'll add a photo of them and their charger shortly to see if that helps you further.

Dazz - in the Uk Specsavers sell a similar range of own branded low cost so-called Advance aids that are usually superceded models from various manufacturers. There is nothing wrong with this this if you have low to medium hearing loss. They also sell some of the latest technology aids from leading brands such as Phonak, Starkey Oticon and Widex for those like me who have significant hearing loss.

I'm not sure about this - but your aids look like they are a basic re-branded model from Unitron or perhaps Insignia (formerly Siemens - who pulled out of the market because of the astronomical cost of the technology race between brands).  They are clearly fine for your hearing loss but would not cope with mine.
