[Rumble]

The touchscreen on my head unit has gone bizarre. Language now in german and no longer works. Intermittent and irregular touch screen acknowledgements. Only radio works. Have tried:

1. reset pinhole - radio station remains unchanged;
2. reset pressing eject/on/off 20s - same as above;
3. factory reset via settings touchscreen - takes a couple of hours to get to this screen, then goes straight to language settings and resets to german;
4. remove negative wire for a day, remove fuses, switch main fuse to off - same as 1;
5. remove the unit entirely and replace - same as 1.
Am I missing something? , are there any other tricks that will allow me to factory reset using/doing anything but the touchscreen?
