oil pressure gauge

has anyone fitted an oil pressure gauge to their i30 yet,I'm thinking about doing it. I'm having trouble finding a picture of the rear of the engine that the oil filter is on [the fire wall side] that i can use as a reference before i pull off the plastic covers under my car and find im wasting my time

no but i would like one... and oil temp is good too... once you have an oil temp gauge in a car... you will take it easy a bit longer, really lets you know when the engine is truley warm!

my scangauge tells me everything but oil pressure and oil temp.

I've fitted the oil pressure and oil temp in mine a few months ago. Its easier to use the M20 sandwich plate to install the sensors

The oil filter is on the front of the engine under the alternator as far as I know.

This is a 1.6, but the filter is in the same place on the 2.0 I think

i received the attachment in the email aj77,but its telling me that its corrupt and wont open.

Not sure about you but I was expecting pix of the gauge mounted in the cabin (more so than the sensor in the engine

)

That's very true Ian! oil does not start to lubricate till it reaches operating temp. but i could not care less these day's, so i'll just leave it as it comes & drive. but with CRDi filter is at the top front easy to get at. just if you get gauges get the best you can.
