Exhaust System
August 04, 2008, 15:52:20
hi fellas,
while surfing the net tonight i found a website that sells full exhausts systems for the i30. the say its a "sports exhaust" but it doesnt look that different to the one on the i30 atm. do u think it would be a good upgrade or would you say leave it alone?
cheers
ash
website for this is:

hi,
before i did this to my car i was told by a muffler place it wouldnt go onto my car for some funny reason. the reason this place told me was that they had done a couple of hyundai'ls and they have played up after doing them (was told this couple of months ago) then i though F*** that im gonna do it if it does stop i'll but the old one bak on if it doesnt it doesnt so yeah so far its really good.
cheers ash

Hi Ash
Thanks but they are a bit small
(if you email some bigger ones to me I'll reload them via photo bucket...)
By bigger I mean at least 100kbs and 400 -600 Pixels each way...

Nice muffler awj2005,;-) but i prefer a full exhaust kit with a 4-2-1 header. A whole lot more power. I think u should target a full exhaust from korean imports or maybe shark racing.

hey mate,
yeah i know, all i really wanted was a purr cause my old car was not too loud but loud enough and the i30 was just to quiet for my liking so i put it on, in the future im going to be doing some decent mods to it but yeah as i said all i wanted was a purr and i got one.
cheers

hey guys,
a little while ago i had the stock hyundai muffler and resonater can removed and a small lukey muffler fitted
doing this gave me a better fuel economy and low rpm torque it sounds really good aswell it makes sorta like a drum roll whilst changing gears
i then fitted a K&N high flow air intake filter and that has increased low rpm torque i think the secrect to getting you i30 running better i just letting it breath a lot better,
muffler fitted was 400 Aud including a nice stainless tip and removing the stock hyundai stuff plus a K&N Air filter Was about 100 Aud
and the best part is it hasnt voided the warranty

That would be good
...you need to upload it to Rapidshare or one of those other video host sites and post a link for us...
Someone might be able to tell us which is the easiest and what size file is manageable...
I've got a straight through 2 ands a half inch system with a sports muffler (from the cat back) on my diesel.. it sounds quite good "under load"

Great mod but looking at the underside it seems to have a bit of discolourment/rust on frame/body bits/petrol tank?
Mines really clean etc and is 16 months old.
1.4 Petrol Active I'm no expert, so please correct me if
