When I traded in my red 8 year old 288,818 mile i30 1.6 crdi I expected it to go to a breaker as most of the engine oil had found its way into the cooling system with the resulting gloop overflowing from the expansion tank.
A couple of weeks later when I updated my Dartford Crossing toll account with my new car's details I noticed that the old one had gone over the bridge the day before. Checking online I see that it's been taxed.
I'm pleased that someone is getting the benefit of the long MoT, four decent tyres and virtually full tank of diesel that it had when I sadly parted with it and am curious to know what it took to make it viable again. If you can give any information then please do and don't worry, I won't chase for the Dartford Crossing trip that you had on me.
