Hey crew,

I have a GD i30, 2012.

I was wondering if Hyundai has software updates for cars; (not the head units), but the actual car itself.

Is this a thing or am I just terribly misinformed?

I have done a bit of research on a certain problem I am having, and some sources say that the car might need a software update.

If this is a thing, how would I go about doing it?

They certainly do get updates and can only be done via Hyundai, usually at service intervals.

Most updates are generally within the first few years unless there has been a recently diagnosed fault that a software update can fix.
