Hey all,  I have a 2010 i30 petrol auto. It's turning over, but not starting. It sounds like the fuel pump is priming when I turn the key to ACC.  Where should I start to find the problem?

If you have access to an OBD scanner, see if there's any fault codes in the ECU.

Find out if the fuel get to the engine. Take off the fuel line as close to the injectors as possible and turn the key.

If ok, find out if there's ignition.

Is it just my eyes, or does your fuel level look to be zero?

Was it running ok last time used?

Did you put correct fuel in car at last refuel?

Has it got fuel in?

Has imobiliser activated to prevent stsrt up?

Not sure I could see the immobilizer light on. Have you got a spare key to try?

It turned out to be the fuel pump.
