The i30 continues to perform well if not spectacularly. However, Hyundai the brand is third overall with #2 Mazda in it's sights. The Accent continues to dominate its class and the Tuscon leads the CX5 in their class, as well as holding down sixth spot overall, behind the i30 in fifth.

Thanks Trevor, a very interesting report. I like those graphs comparing year on year.

Looks like the Kona isn't breaking any records!

Wont take long for Hyundai to gain 2nd place with Mazda dropping percentage's like that  Mazda will be keen to push out their new models next year with the new compression ignition petrol engines.

Was at my local dealer yesterday waiting to pick up my 2010 FD i30 CW after its 240000km service and had a look at the new i30.
Looks great.
Dealer was pushing the budget spec Go model very heavily.
Wish some of the deals were on the Active diesel manual.
However having only ever had problems with headlights blowing and one CV boot it is still not nearly time.
Still have 25% pads on my original brakes!

Phillips long life eco headlight globes are a good chance to fix the headlight blowing issue, they did on mine.

Maybe go another 12 months and see what the deals are then.

Apparently there's such a backlog of cars being sold that even my "in-stock" PD2 SR Premium is taking a week to transport to the dealer from the holding yard in Melbourne. The dealership has apologized and gave me a loaner 2017 Tuscon to use until my car arrives. I spoke to a friend in fleet management and said that the i30s have been selling very well in the last couple of months.
