Central locking - possible to disable deadlock?

Hi is it possible to disable the dead locking system from the key remote on my 2010 i30 1.6 crdi so it just locks the car without the dead locks coming on just that there is a problem with the dead lock grinding when it locks thank you.

What you have to be careful is that it does not totally go and leave you unable to unlock the door at all.

There's been a couple of examples with rear door lock failures where the they've been locked and I don't know how you deal with that as the door needs to be open to get the trim off to get the internal panel off and then remove the lock.

anyway it is what it is, drove me nuts so i fixed it sooner rather than later.
