Had my new i30 in for its first service today, all went as expected for a car with only 5800 miles on clock. Manufacturer picked up on 3 recalls for the car. They fixed the issue with the sticking door handles by buffing the plastic down so they said, they work great now, removed drainage plugs in doors as they’ve had reports of water getting trapped in them though it’s not an issue I’ve had personally and they did an ECU upgrade which has flagged up that the o2 sensor needing replaced under warranty which I need to return for in a couple of weeks time. They also done the software and sat-nav update.Just a heads up for anyone with the new shape i30.

Hi, can you post up what the latest satnav software versions are as I am picking up a new i30 in a couple of weeks and want to make sure they have updated it prior to delivery. Thanks

As far as I can see updates are only yearly so a new car should have the latest version?

This, from Hyundai in March this year:

With regards to map updates this is a free service that comes with the vehicle for 7 years and can be completed by any Hyundai dealership in the UK, you would just need to book this in with them and I can confirm that it does take a number of hours, around 2 for the update to take place. Before booking in with your local dealership for the update I can confirm that the most up to date software for you car is as follows;
System version - XX.EUR.SOP.005.3.170927
Map ver - EUR.10.41.46.701.002.2(D.D2/E.D1)
If you car currently has this software then no update is currently required.

I trust that the above information will assist you however if I can be of any further help then please do feel free to come back to me.
