Just need to ask a question about the LED illuminators.

My step daughter has one - it is not as powerful as our Dyson stick cleaner and not as easy to use.

She loves it though - it cleans OK, was cheaper and not as noisy as our Dyson.

You should try them both before you decide


I am biased - we had a GTECH cordless sweeper 4 years ago and the battery died just after the warranty expired. They would not replace it FOC even though it was only 13 months old.

I bought one last weekend, having owned numerous Dyson products over the years and still have Animal and Ball devices.

My question was one which Gtech still have not responded to.

My AirRam's forward illumination LEDs are always on, albeit at a highly reduced level, even when idle. In a darkened room I can make out all 6 or 7 are dimly lit; when in use, the LEDs are as bright as a very bright thing.

If that's by design then it's a poor design.

If not, then my £199 unit is faulty.

They've said it's a faulty battery and dispatched a replacement - arriving tomorrow.

Smooth, as I have been eyeing up a replacement battery anyway (£60) to effectively double the available time. That'll please the missus
