Todays project now that ebay bits have arrived is to spruce up the look of the rear patio garden, had some garden screen panels on the fence that I've attached some angle around the outer edge for LED's to attach on the inside,  hoping the lighting effect comes up good when done :fingers:

Panels go behind plants against the fence

Garden screen panels with the angle attached waiting for LED's to turn up

Will experiment with the 10 metres of blue LED's

LED's attached and impatiently waiting for the silicone to dry :wait: the cheap double sided tape I had wouldn't hold so it's pegged up while the liquid nails dries.

If I'm lucky they'll go on this evening :fingers:

Hope so, it's attached to the fence now just waiting for darkness to roll in :wait:

It gives the wanted effect, the camera shows up a lot of red spectrum that isn't visible with the naked eye and the camera also increases the luminous glow outside of the framed area, more pleasant to look at naturally so I'm happy with it :)

talking about handy work, i spent a few weekends building a front fence at dad's.
this is one of the progress shots. built the oversized gate last (still not painted in this photo):

it was an overgrown jungle and the hardest part was actually cutting down the trees and bushes. digging the post holes was also a pain with the root systems of said trees...

Nice job, I do appreciate a good looking fence.
Don't envy you painting all those pickets though.  :crazy2:

Thank Mick :goodjob2: no these ones aren’t dimmable or change colour, I think a warm white light would look quite effective too :)

Have fun :goodjob2: I bought outdoor waterproof one's from here :link: 220V 5050 60LEDs/M Strip Lights Tape Flexible Waterproof Outdoor Garden+AU Plug | eBay

There are 12v kits out there but the brightness is poor unless you're wanting to triple up the amount of lighting required, better to use 220v.

I also cut the Asian plug with AU adaptor off and wired on a spare AU plug I had in the shed, I don't like piggyback setups...especially outdoors :)
