Hey All,

Are there any gamers lurking inside the lair of the i30 forums? PC/Console/Mobile or otherwise? I found an old archived thread relating to gamers from several years ago, but nothing of note since.

I was excited to learn that they've finally announced pre-orders to Cyberpunk 2077 in the last couple of days [although i'll be waiting for reviews of the actual game after release] .. This is a hotly anticipated title for all platforms, and it definitely intrigues my curiosity as a casual gamer. It has been in development for 5-6 years, probably longer in fact. The game looks exquisitely detailed! Oh my..

Haha .. too funny ..

I got your PM @Dazzler, that surprised the heck out of me to be honest! Boys and their toys!

I've got a Next Level Racing Wheel Stand and a Logitech G27 with shifter .. I've actually just purchased a PS3-to-PS4 USB converter for the G27 as it doesn't work on the PS4 natively [the G27 is now too old and superseded by the G29].. I've been an avid fan of the Gran Turismo series and the Formula 1 racing games, and a couple of Rally games as well.

I also have a PC .. running an i7 quad core processor .. it's an old build now as I built this machine back in 2013 i think it was. It still runs the games I have on it perfectly fine as I have a few decent games in my Steam library.

Assetto Corsa is a great race game we have it on Xbox and PC. I had to upgrade my video card on the PC to run it. PC is only i5 but has heaps of Ram. :victory:

One here too, mostly grand strategy and city builders nowadays. Used to post everything, a lot. Spent most of my youth dressing various contraptions back and forth to lan-parties, even after we all got broadband connections. Been playing since 92 or or so.
Running a soon 6 year old AMD fx 9590BE octacore setup. Wanted to buy a new ryzen based system but got the ioniq instead. :)

I received my USB Converter, and the G27 has now been put back into service on the PS4.. Time to re-learn how to drive as I've gotten so used to the controller.

One here, PC only, one game only, formerly competitive (esports clan and regular scrims) - now just a casual gamer since the time required to play competitively doesn't exist these days. Plus reflexes aren't what they once were. At the time though was inside the top 1% of ranked gamers worldwide.

The game was released in/around 2008 I believe and its still epic but the available game servers are drying up.

Did at one time get into driving sims, and while good fun they didn't hold my interest. We have two consoles here but console games seem more like hard work than recreation.

PC has a GTX 1080 graphics card and multiple monitors, Logitech pro keyboard, Hyper X headset, G402 wired mouse. Goes great especially driving a 10 year old game engine.

And I bought the first commercially available copy of Doom in the country. And I've still got it.

Don't get as much time as I would like to. Prob now only once every 2 weeks on the PC & once a month, sometimes more driving.

PC is a Ryzen 2600, 16Gb 3200Mhz ram & a Gigabyte RTX2060.  Mainly just ply FPS. Just finished both Battlefield 1 & WW2.  Just about to start Battlefield 5.
Also play the Tomb Raider series.  I also have racing games on there & can take the PC into where the driving sim is.
The Sim is a Logitech G290 plugged into my Xbox One. With a custom made pedal box. Sound goes through the Pioneer 5.1ch receiver into the Yamaha speakers.
In front is a 42" HD tv. With a cheapie Bathurst chair from Officeworks.  Iv'e got Asseto Corsa, Project Cars 2, All the F1 games from 2103 & of course the Forza games.

Now if only it is easy to find some more time. And for that reason I don't go online to play or race.

So what's AC/DC, Led Zep, Muse, anything good sound like?

They are my Yamaha NS-555's  My "baby" Yamaha's.    I also have the Yamaha NS-777's & the NS-333's & NS-444 for my surround set up.

I picked up the NS-555's cheap on Gumtree in not great shape. Marks & scratches on the cabinets, no bottom feet & 1 tweeter blown.
With a bit of polishing & getting a new tweeter in, and also painting the tweeter & midrange surround's satin black. They have come up a treat.

Sound wise..  They are pretty awesome & suit the spare room that I have them in.
I'll agree with all the bands that you mentioned.  But Pink Floyd in bloody awesome.  Specially on my main system playing the Pulse Live Blu-ray
