Title: [Help Needed]Scooter Rider Mirror Damage
Post by: jan-syd on February 23, 2021, 06:05:29
Hi all! Need a bit of help. Unfortunately a scooter rider damaged part of my left mirror. More specifically, it's the plastic that's between the black-painted scalp and the glass mirror (motor, scalp, and mirror seem intact).

Is it possible to get that part so it can be replaced? Or does it come with the expensive motor part? If it can be replaced, what would the part be called?
Image below for reference (not my actual mirror).

Thanks so much for the help.

I had similar damage and when I removed the mirror glass <gentle but firm levering from below> I could then dismantle the mirror.  Hyundai of course assured me that they could only sell me the whole mirror which was very pricey.  I went to a scrapcar yard and found the part I needed and voila, job done.  Good luck  :goodjob:
