Gday UK fraternity, I am hiring a base i30 over Xmas in UK and just wondering if all UK models are equipped with sat nav built in?  :undecided:

Hi.

I'm "at work" currently but this website should give you all the details you need :)

Thanks Shambles
According to the Parker's guide the base model S & SE do not have Sat Nav.
I wouldn't expect the hire cars at carrentals.co.uk to be too extravagant, so may need to pay extra for GPS to drive around London town  :crazy2:

Scott, if you want a full navigation app with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay capability try Magic Earth.

You install the maps you need so no connection is required, it’s free too :)

You can also buy a one month subscription to TomTom for $3.

Do you still have the old TomTom app?  you'll need to delete it as it's redundant now and has been for years and re-install their newer Go Mobile app, works really well on CarPlay now that they've fixed/added an option to enter addresses from the cars screen.

Magic Earth - Why Nederlands  did you install the wrong map :undecided:

Tomtom not updating to the new re-imaged version is a known issue on their forums, the fix is to just delete the old version as they use a completely new payment subscription system now.

My older license which I had for Go Navigation are maximum 3 year subscriptions and were able to be upgraded to the new Go Mobile which kept your license for the remainder of it's term and from then on the new subscription system is in place.

Sounds like your license is even older so it's definitely redundant, you'll probably find that once you delete the app it wont be available again in the store, being the new version has so many changes it's generally better to install clean rather than upgrade anyway.
