crankshaft sensor a intermittent fault

I have a hyundai i30 2009 petrol that has been given me a headache as some times the car wont start without pressing the accelerator and the fault code comes up crankshaft sensor A intermittent fault and I was wondering if anyone could give instruction on how to replace

This is the  exact reason I've joined....can anyone please help?
Would really like to know where this sensor is located so we can replace ourselves .
  • 2009 i30 1.6 petrol automatic

Just read this the other day in another forum. It's for a 2014 NU but I'd imagine the sensor position and faults would be very similar.

If had that same error come up turned out the chain slipped by on tooth the repair cost was 250 EUR at private service or 560 at official service. It's a 20min check service.
